TUTORIAL
Welcome to Metropolis, greatest city on the New Pacific. Obviously, you didn't make the Big Lift…why not try your luck here?
Here's you. You've got 30 health. Try not to lose it before your opponent does.
You and your opponent each have a hand of cards drawn from your deck, a motley crew of robots, humans, and everything in between.
Play a card by dragging it from your hand to the board. Most cards go on your side, a few go on theirs - the card text will tell you.
Most cards stay on the board. Some cards have an immediate effect and then leave.
Playing a card to the board costs Data. Information is currency in Metropolis, and nothing’s free.
Your data total increases by one each turn. But so does your opponent's.
When you a play a card to the board, it can immediately attack. A card's Attack Value is at the top left -
that’s how much damage it does.
Drag a card onto its target to attack another card…
…or to your opponent to strike them directly.
You can even attack your own people. We won’t judge you.
When a card is hit, it loses health. Health is at the top right. When its health reaches zero it goes to the recycle bin. Just like you!
Many cards have a unique special effect, which is described on the card.
For instance, NIWA Flechette can attack multiple cards on the board, and Black Ice destroys anything that hits it. Mastering these abilities and combining them is the key to a successful operation.
Once you’ve played a few matches, try altering your deck or creating a new one using the deck editor. If you’re feeling adventurous you can purchase new, more advanced cards.
