GAME ELEMENTS & GOAL
Web_UI.png

Metropolis Origins is a 1v1 turn-based card game.

Each player starts with 30 Health points.

The goal is to bring your opponent’s Health points to 0 before they do the same to yours.

You do this by playing cards onto the Board. From there, they can attack your opponent’s cards, or their health directly.

THE BOARD

There are 7 spaces total, 6 on each player’s board and 1 Recycle Bin for each player.

To play cards you need to spend a resource called data.

In the bottom right you will see 10 blue crystals that represent the amount of data you currently have available, out of a maximum of 10.

On Turn One you will have access to 1 data.

Each turn after that your data will go up by 1, so on turn 2 you will have 2 data, on turn 3 you will have 3 data, etc. up until you hit the maximum of 10 data.

Above the data bar are 2 circles:

The circle on the left displays the number of cards remaining in your deck.

The circle on the right displays the current turn you are on.

The top right of the screen has your opponent’s info in the same order.

CARDS

Each card has 3 main attributes:

The blue circle at middle left shows how much data the card costs to put on the board.

The red hexagon at the top right displays the card’s health points. When the card takes that much or more damage, it is removed from the board to the Recycle Bin to the right of the play area.

In the gold diamond at the top left there is a number showing how much damage this card will do when used to attack another card.

In the center of each card - below the character’s portrait - is a description of the card's ability.

For instance a card that says “Clone Once” will create a copy of itself in the nearest available slot.

There are many different card abilities - be sure to read them closely.

You can only play cards on an available empty space.

Attacking

Cards may attack in the same turn they are played.

To use your card to attack, click and drag it onto the target of your choice.

You may target other cards on the field (your opponent’s or your own), or your opponent’s Health Points directly.

When a card’s health reaches zero, it goes into the Recycle Bin.
